Vizrt 4 User Interface Tutorial

Learn the Vizrt 4 User Interface.

This video will explain the different windows and tabs within the user interface. It shows what each one does and how they apply to the workflow when designing in Vizrt Artist.

Within the user interface of the Vizrt Artist 4 software you'll be introduced to the various windows such as the server, the built-ins, the stage and many more. One of the main components you'll need to know about is the main menu bar. This bar will allow you to access other tabs within the software. New to this version of Vizrt Artist (4) is the ability to un-dock and re-arrange windows within the interface. You also have the ability to close individual windows and access them later if need be. There are default interfaces that are already setup in within a drop down in the software where you create and save your own interface.

The video does a brief introduction into the scene tree window which is where you get introduced to containers. Containers are can be thought of as layers within a scene. You can group containers to help organize your scene tree even further. In conjunction with all the windows within vizrt is the scene editor window. This allows you to see a real-time preview of your design and animations. You can work with images, fonts or objects right in the scene editor window.

The Built-ins tab keeps all of the built-in assets within the software that we use to help build a scene and or manipulate a scene. Built-in geometries are both 2D and 3D primitives that can be used to build scenes. Furthermore, this tab also organizes the plugins we can use to manipulate the scenes further. Though there are more in-depth videos on each of the subject matters, it's important to know the basics of navigating this interface in order to find things.
