Scuba diving ascending is not as complicated as it would seem. As long as you go slow, exhale and are aware of your surroundings (look up and around for boats!) things should go smoothly. However, it's very important to understand all of the safety skills just in case things don't go according to plan. The controlled emergency swimming ascent is hugely important to practice until it becomes second nature. Let's review the CESA!
