What is knowledge? Knowing about something is knowledge. Then what is ultimate knowledge? Kabir Sahib and other saints, scriptures like Geeta and Ramayana all say that knowing about our soul is the ultimate knowledge. So why so much emphasis on knowledge of our soul? All our lives we run after our body. We feed it, we work to earn money, we wear clothes, we travel, we get married, we have relations etc. None of this is needed by our soul. Then what does the soul need for its survival? What is it doing in the body? What is its nature? Where has it come from? Why does every saint say that the soul is entangled by very powerful forces?
