Thanks to Apple’s design, some battery extractions do not go as planned.
Moreover, battery usage doesn’t go as planned either!
The positive terminals can break from even the slightest side load. Drop your MacBook sideways from a height of four fingers, and there you have it!
For this experiment, I decided to tune the spot welder’s “Gear” timing from 30 ms down to 1 ms. Even a short pulse burns through the plastic insulation easily. Hopefully this will help someone.
