Retyred Greying Hounds, Perce and Paul, ride The John Muir Way in Scotland. A 134 mile walking and cycling route created in 2014 to celebrate the life and work of JM who was an advocate of being outside and exploring the countryside.
This was Paul’s first tour and the JMW is an excellent introduction to multi day tours.
We chose to take four days to ride the route to allow us to take in the sights along the way.
Using a campsite on our first and last nights in Dunbar. On the ride we stayed in two hotels and a B&B to save carrying camping equipment.
The JMW website is useful for planning your trip and there are many videos on YouTube by walkers and cyclists which give a good flavour of what to expect.
