The Island of Baththalangunduwa is located off the coast of Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka. The island is known to many as a fishing island and recently it gained popularity as a camping destination. It's not easy getting into this island if you are taking public transportation.
If you are interested in going to this island, here are some information that will be useful.
If you are coming from Colombo, find a way to come to Negombo by 4am. From there you can catch the bus going to Kalpitiya which will leave at 4.30am. The contact number of the bus is 0777995400.
To get more information on the ferry that leaves at 8.30am from Kalpitiya, contact Dilshan-0775614906.
Both the bus and the ferry are run by the same company, Mark Travels, and they will coordinate between the ferry and the bus if any delays occur.
