Cooking safely and independently can be challenging for people who are blind or have low vision. In this session, the Brava team will join Sam Seavey of The Blind Life to explore how Brava’s smart oven is breaking down barriers in the kitchen. We will highlight how the Brava app has evolved since launching screen reader support in late 2024, and Sam, who has reviewed Brava on his YouTube channel, will share his first-hand experiences cooking with Brava.
Together, they’ll discuss the accessibility improvements already making a difference for the visually impaired community, as well as a look ahead at Brava’s next frontier: conversational app control powered by GPT. Attendees will come away with a clear understanding of how Brava is reimagining the cooking experience to be more inclusive, accessible, and empowering for all.
