This is an S scale layout. The layout is S gauge and can run equipment from American Flyer (AC voltage), or DC voltage, or DCC.
What sets this layout apart is the extensive scenery detail provided by Dan & Armando Vargas. The layout features a lower level with a fully scenicked yard and a top level with a double track mainline and many sidings. It can easily accommodate long trains -- for example the video features a 30-car intermodal, and a 40-car transition-era steam.
