The Khoai Sonajhuri Hut is the perfect destination for you beside the Khoai River in Shantiniketan Bolpur. It's around 180 km from Kolkata. The Haat around the Shonajhuri forests transforms into a conglomeration of art, craft, baul music, and exquisite shopping. Here, you will find numerous exclusive clay pieces of jewellery in different designs, all created by local inhabitants. You can get handmade clay toys, showpieces, bags of different Santinekatani prints, garments made of Katha Stitch and Batik Print and even local ethnic Bengalee dishes like pithey and payesh. Saturday and Sunday, around 10 am the haat started in sonajhuri forest with tribal dance, folk song and baul song.
