Railway 200 Celebrations - Bluebell Railway | 24 & 26/07/25

Inspiration is here at the Bluebell and to celebrate its arrival, the Bluebell would hold a week long event in which would see an extended timetable across all days, completed with Golden Arrow breakfast and luncheon runs. Also shuttle services between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes to supplement the inspiration train.

This week would see a wide range of traction used with both steam and diesel traction at the helm of services. 32424 Beachy Head would run the Railway’s B set and haul both Pullman trains while 34059 would also run but changing sets across the two days I attended. 72 ‘Fenchurch’ would run a shuttle service between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes with the observation carriage in the Thursday while on the Saturday, she’d run up Horsted to sit at the end of the inspiration train giving a good photo opportunity. 3310& would also do a few runs on the Thursday while the visiting 66 would haul service trains across the weekend, double heading with E6040 ‘The Bluebell Railway’ who has returned after her stint at the Kent and East Sussex Railway’s diesel gala.
