CALAX update as of February 2025 - Girder installation IB4 - Aguinaldo Highway

This video is one of the activities that took place in February in CALAX subsection 3. - Explanation:

The #CALAX Interchange Bridge 4 - Aguinaldo Highway segment has had its girders installed. This process began on February 18 and concluded on February 22, 2025 around 12am. Initially planned as a two-night operation, it was extended due to challenging terrain and inclement weather. A stop-and-go traffic measure was implemented while the Beam Trolley transported girders from the adjacent fabrication yard to the work site.

While each span required seven girders, only four could be installed per span due to space constraints and ongoing traffic. The interchange bridge is planned to partially open, which will alleviate some of the traffic congestion on the temporary diversion road. Once the partial bridge is open, work will continue on installing the remaining six girders. As mentioned in previous videos, the work on Interchange Bridge 4 is conducted in phases due to space limitations.

The temporary diversion road will be removed to facilitate the remaining work. During the installation, the Meralco team was on standby as the area is surrounded by high-tension wires.
