In this video we find the Lower and Upper Triangular matrices from a 4x4 square matrix using Doolittle's method. ITS SIMPLE:
Step 1:
Write out your [L] matrix with "1" on the diagonals.
Step 2:
fill in the upper elements of the lower triangular matrix with zeroes
Step 3:
With Gaussian Elimination techniques, reduce the original matrix [A] to an upper triangular.
Step 4:
Every 'factor' used to eliminate the component of interest, (aij), insert that same value with an opposite sign in the lower triangular matrix in the same component that was eliminated.
