I present to your attention the rocknroll and psychedelic song "Bilder von Strichfiguren" under the next footage from the TNO mod of HOI4 and Arma 3. I would like to immediately draw your attention to the fact that this song is a reworking of an already existing irl song from the 1960s "Pictures of Matchstick Men" from Status Quo, the lyrics are identical but translated into German, the motifs are repeated only in the first part of the reworked song.

In my perspective, reflected in the footage, this song is an immersion into the psyche of a German soldier, whose consciousness is irreversibly damaged by battlefield injuries and the use of psychoactive substances. The hallucinatory images described in the text are classic manifestations of narcotic psychosis, and coupled with my footage, they are PTSD. A German soldier cannot separate reality from a nightmare: he is haunted by a vision, probably of a beloved woman whom he has not seen for a very long time because of the endless fighting in the East, whose image as a result merges with abstract figures of fighting, which symbolizes the disintegration of holistic perception and the mixing of love attraction with the horror of war. Fighting and psychedelic images of a woman are intertwined into a single tangle, which proves that for a soldier, war and chemical horror are one incessant trip from which there is no way out.
