Over the last several months I've been using the HeadRush Pedalboard for the bulk of my Youtube video guitar tones. I've been asked many times about my tone and how I get it. The truth is that it's a lot of trial and error, especially at first and especially with something like the HeadRush which can seem overwhelming.
So, I've really tried to simplify things and give you the bare bones basics of how I create these rigs. If you're a HeadRush user, or are thinking of purchasing one, and you love heavy rock tones, this should help.

Remember, there are a few things always to consider when shaping your tones:
1) Your guitar and pick-ups
2) Your amp selection
3) The cab/speaker, and in this case the Impulse Response (IR).
4) Effects, including overdrive, distortion and boosts, but also delays, reverbs, modulation, EQ, etc.

It ALL effects your tone.
