The bug was assigned CVE-2017-7119 and is an 'uninitialised stack variable' bug, which allows the attacker to defeat KASLR.
In this video we look at the vulnerable code to understand how the bug occurs look into what an uninitialised stack variable bug is, and also recreate it in a test program. Hope you enjoy!
