Star Wars Battlefront II (PC) HD: Best Mods & Maps: The Battle of Teth

WATCH IN HD! This is the Battle of Teth: B'omarr Monastery by ForceMaster. This map is a follow up to his Battle of Christophsis map and similarly is a campaign mission map based on the Battle of Teth from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie.
The map looks fantastic, the buildings are extremely well detailed and stays close to the source material in the Clone Wars movie making this a very enjoyable experience when recreating the battle. The new models used for the Monastery are absolutely perfect and stay true to the movie. Another nice feature is that, as the battle progresses, the map changes from day to night although the transitions are fairly abrupt.
Once again you can only play as the Republic side, which features some cool new units such as Captain Rex and a TCW-style Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi with the latter playable as a hero unit and the former unlocked via points.
There is a wide selection of enemies you face in this map including the common B1 and B2 Battle Droids as well as Dwarf Spider Droids which are uncommon in other maps.
The STAPs used by the droids have also been reskinned to look more like their SW: TCW counterparts we are used to seeing which is a welcomed little detail. There is also an exclusive new vehicle pilotable in this map: The Twilight! It is available alongside V-19 Torrent Starfighters, Jedi Starfighters and Republic Gunships all of which can be used in the sky battle. Furthermore, the Republic Star Destroyer has been replaced with a brand new TCW Venator model and reskin which is a fantastic addition to the map.
The new character models are also excellent with a brand new TCW Asajj Ventress which looks identical to that in the movie as well as Rotta the Huttlet in a Republic backpack which is used for some of the objectives.
The map also makes use of Kevin Kiner's fantastic soundtrack from the movie too which is a nice added touch to a very good map.
Unfortunately the map also has a few bugs: landing the Republic Gunship at the start can be somewhat challenging as the landing region is very specific. Another vehicle based issue occurs if you die whilst piloting the Twilight and carrying Rotta as the Huttlet is dropped when you die and does not respawn with you rendering the objective impossible, this most commonly occurs when trying to board the Venator in the Twilight. Also vehicle sounds are inconsistent, some work whilst others simply don't which is slightly disappointing.
All in all though, this map is great fun for fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and I recommend you try it out! Enjoy!
