Robert Kennedy Jr. was spoke on new claims about the possible connection between children who are circumcised early and given Tylenol who a higher chance of developing autism.
He said "children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, which is because they’re given Tylenol afterward."
According to the Associated Press, RFK Jr. used a study from the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine in 2015. The study looked at ritual circumcision and the risk of autism spectrum disorder in boys under 10 in Denmark.
It found that those who had undergone the procedure, which involves removal of the foreskin from the penis, were more likely to develop autism than other boys in the study.
Other researchers said took at look at the 2015 study and said that the study looked at correlation and not causation. They followed up with claims of their studies that were evaluated as well and suggested no connection between circumcision and autism.
