Back button focus is a great feature on DSLR cameras allowing the separated actions of focus and image capture. A button - the back focus button - is used to set the focus and the shutter button just completes the image capture process without introducing another focus acquisition phase.
In this video I show how to implement this on Panasonic Lumix cameras - The FZ300/330/1000/2000 and the G series cameras.
