For farmers like Shrikant Majhi in Bankura, West Bengal, the daily struggle for water was relentless. "Previously, we had to use the tube well and pump the water out of it... This new water security allowed farmers like Shrikant to fully benefit from PepsiCo's sustainable farming program, which provided high-quality FC3 potato seeds and a guaranteed buy-back price.
The results are astonishing. With water readily available, crop yields have nearly doubled, and Shrikant's income has soared from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per bigha.
