Early in the morning, as the mist slowly began to lift over Lake Königssee, I boarded the first boat from Seelände towards Salet – passing the still shrouded St. Bartholomä on the way to the final stop. After just a few minutes on foot, I reached the picturesque Obersee, where the impressive mountain scenery was beautifully reflected in the water. A bit more demanding, the path continued to the idyllic Fischunkelalm, where I stopped to recharge for the hike back.
After a short stop at St. Bartholomä, the boat took me back to Seelände. From there, the cable car carried me up to the Jenneralm, where a breathtaking panorama over Lake Königssee and the surrounding valleys and peaks unfolded.
It was a wonderful experience in one of Bavaria’s most beautiful landscapes – and this is exactly what I’d like to share with you here.
