Once again, I will be replacing the Mandrel and Pulley on our Husqvarna Riding Mower / Garden Tractor / Yard Tractor.
In this video I will show how the top pulley nut of the mandrel can be loosened and removed. The pulley nut should be loosened before anything else is done. This is because in order to loosen the nut you have to secure the blade under the mower deck so that it cannot spin. If you loosen the mandrel bolts prior to do this you will have a difficult time loosening the the pulley nut. Remember, both the blade and pulley need to be removed from the mandrel prior to the mandrel or pulley assembly being pulled out of the mower deck.
