We are the blanket for those who need them
Before they get lost in the crowd, we see them,
Offering rest, where we can, we feed them.
And fostering Faith in themselves to believe in.
A place in the world beyond the pavement.
Moving above Mr. Maslow's basement.
Raising your hope, that they are never far from home.
And here we stand, the shelter from the storm.

And the wind at your back has been your friend.
By the grace of God go you.
But wind can be unkind.
When it flows and tears us from our homes.
Leaving some of us behind.
