The Sephora Sale ends today & I'm sure you've seen tons of influencers recommending their picks for THE Sephora sale. Milk? Rhode Beauty? Rare? Haus Labs? My picks are actually none of the above!

Sephora is known for not doing sales, they are known for being expensive as well. And if we know these things, why do we accept that 10% is worth caring about? I know there are higher levels of discounts depending on your Beauty Insider level, but if you're already spending $500 a year at Sephora, I'm not sure anything I say will help.

Sephora is a luxury store, but it has positioned itself as the go-to place for most makeup enthusiasts. I wanted to figure out why Sephora holds that place in our retail landscape and how we may be being encouraged to spend more on makeup products through their stores, sales, and online clout.
