In today's video, we are taking out the Lifepak 12! (Newer Model is Lifepak 15) I have created this video for mainly two camps of people. Those that are preparing for Paramedic school and those that are entering EMT school.

As an EMT you will responsible for helping the Paramedic on 911 calls, so it is important that you understand how to work the heart monitor. As a Paramedic, cardiology makes the Paramedic, so this cardiac monitor is your bread and butter and probably the most used tool.

EMTs are able to place EKG leads and transmit the results to transporting hospitals, while Paramedics are able to read and interpret EKGs and 12-Lead EKGs.

But this style of cardiac monitor does much more than just EKGs. Vital signs, ETCO2, SP02, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and pacemaking abilities are all inside this one machine!
