Helper Units and Coal Trains - Montana Remix Series Part 2 // Trinity Rail Productions

In Part 2 of the Montana Remix series, you'll see some of Montana Rail Link's helper operations in Livingston, MT. The first train you'll see is a westbound loaded coal train departing the Livingston yard on Sept. 26, 2014 - with two BNSF units at the head end, three MRL helper units about mid-train, and two more BNSF units on the rear. Later that day, I filmed another westbound unit coal train, this time with three BNSF units on the head end. A single MRL SD70ACe was cut in behind the lead units and three more MRL locomotives were added to the rear end. The next day, it was very windy, rainy, and cold, but that didn't stop me from filming an eastbound manifest descending Bozeman Pass just outside of Livingston with three BNSF units up front and three MRL units on the end. The wind noise in that clip is pretty bad but I included it anyway.
