Autism in the Rural Emergency Department: Elevating Child and Caregiver Perspectives of Care

Jade Campbell-Vigne (BSN) presents her research findings which explored the health care experiences of autistic children and their family member caregivers in the emergency department (ED) in rural areas of British Columbia. Kristy Nickerson also joins as a community partner to share some of her own experiences as a parent of a child with autism. The webinar includes recommendations for improvement of emergency department experiences based on caregiver and patient feedback.
