Metrorex a semnat un contract cu Alstom pentru achiziția de 13 trenuri de metrou pentru magistrala 5 (Eroilor 2 - Valea Ialomiței/Râul Doamnei) pe 3 noiembrie 2020, în valoare de 100.000.000€. Capacitatea unui astfel de tren este 1.200 pasageri (dintre care 216 pe scaune). Au 114 metri lungime și 3 metri lățimea. Caroseria este fabricată din oțel inoxidabil și sunt botezate cu nume de județe din România.

Metrorex signed a contract with Alstom for purchasing 13 metro trains for the metro line 5 (Eroilor 2 - Valea Ialomiței/Râul Doamnei) on November 3rd of 2020, with amount of 100.000.000€. The capacity of such train is 1.200 passengers (of which 216 on seats). They have 114 meters long and 3 meters width. The body is made out of stainless steel and they're nicknamed with names of counties from Romania.
