Nestled in the heart of northern Iran, Veresk is a hidden gem surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, lush green valleys, and forested mountain slopes. Located in Mazandaran province, near the city of Savadkuh, Veresk offers a unique combination of history, nature, and engineering marvels that capture the spirit of Iranian landscapes.

One of Veresk’s most iconic features is the Veresk Bridge, a historical railway bridge built during the 1930s. Known as the “Bridge of Victory,” it stands at about 110 meters high and 66 meters long, connecting the Alborz mountain range and serving as a vital link in the Trans-Iranian Railway. Built by Austrian engineers, this architectural masterpiece played a strategic role during World War II and continues to operate today.

But Veresk is not only about its bridge. The entire area is a haven for nature lovers, hikers, and adventurers. With its pristine forests, fresh mountain air, and peaceful trails, Veresk represents the untouched nature of Iran — a side of the country that few people outside have ever seen. Spring brings this region to life, covering the hills in vibrant greenery and wildflowers, making it the perfect season for exploration.
