A Passionate Bride | Pastor Dr Kasanda

In our recent sermon, "A Passionate Bride" by Pastor Dr. Kasanda, we explored the beautiful relationship between Jesus, the Bridegroom, and His bride, the Church. Jesus desires a bride that longs for Him, understands her value in His eyes, and focuses on God with purity and innocence. ❤️

In his sermon, Pastor Dr. Kasanda explored the concept of Jesus as the Bridegroom and the Church as His bride. He drew from various biblical references, including:

☑️Mark 2:18, where Jesus is questioned about fasting, and He responds by saying that the guests of the bridegroom cannot fast while the bridegroom is with them.
☑️Ephesians 5:22-26*, which describes the relationship between husbands and wives, and ultimately, Christ and the Church.
☑️1 Peter 3:1-5*, which encourages wives to be submissive to their husbands, just as Sarah obeyed Abraham.
☑️Song of Solomon 1:4-15*, a poetic depiction of the love between a bride and bridegroom.

Key Points:

☑️Jesus wants a bride that desires Him*: A bride who understands her value and position in Christ, and who is passionate about her relationship with Him.
☑️A bride that knows she is chosen*: Just as Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." We are chosen, loved, and valued by God.
☑️A bride with dove-like eyes*: Focused on God, pure, and innocent. A bride who is willing to spend time with God, and who understands that God is not afraid of dealing with the issues we come with.

Takeaway:

God likes spending time with us, and He wants a deep, personal relationship with each of us. As the Bridegroom, Jesus is looking for a bride who is passionate about Him, who knows her value, and who is focused on God. Let us strive to be that bride, and to cultivate a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior.
