There is a software glitch on the Brother Printer MFCJ 497DW, MFCJ 480DW. The printer thinks there is paper Jam inside the machine but actually there isn't any paper that is stuck inside. It took me a while to find out the way to fix it. It works in my case. If it does not in yourself, try to unplug the wire for about 30 mins and restart the printer. If it still not working, try to reset the printer back to the manufacture setting. Hope it helps. Thank you.
