I MOSTRI ESISTONO! Pesca al Luccio a Centro Cadore - Pike Fishing Giants

Siamo ancora alle prese con sua maestà il luccio. Questa volta ci rechiamo in un bacino artificiale, il lago di centro Cadore, nato dallo sbarramento del fiume Piave in località Sotto castello a Pieve di
Cadore. Bisogna ammettere che percorrere la strada che costeggia l'abitato di Longarone mette un
po' i brividi. Riecheggiano cupe le ombre di una tragedia immane. La diga che si scorge in
lontananza a tappare la stretta valle del Vajont si presenta a noi come un monito perenne ma è pur
sempre un'altra diga ad aver creato un gioiello incastonato tra queste strette valli dolomitiche che si trova poco più su lungo il corso dell'alto Piave.
Il lago è davvero splendido, ricco di insenature, con un isola più o meno al centro e contornato da ripide pinete. Una gestione accorta e lungimirante della pesca in questo bacino ha fatto si che nel giro di poco più di un decennio si creasse un vero paradiso della pesca al luccio, probabilmente ad oggi uno dei migliori spot in Italia. Non deve però trarre in inganno l'abbondanza di pesce infatti non è poi così semplice riuscire a catturare gli esemplari più grossi e come sempre accade in questi laghi artificiali l'attività dei pesci è spesso influenzata dai continui sbalzi di livello. Se vi capiterà di andarci però non demordete, aspettate il vento termico che si alza regolarmente tutti i giorni e forse incapperete anche voi in una giornata magica come quella descritta in questo video! We are still dealing with his majesty The Pike. This time we go to an artificial basin, the lake of
central Cadore, born from the barrier of the Piave river in Sottocastello in Pieve di Cadore. It must
be admitted that traveling the road that runs alongside the town of Longarone puts a little chills. The shadows of an immense tragedy echo darkly. The dam that can be seen in the distance to plug the narrow valley of the Vajont presents itself to us as a perennial warning but it is still another dam that has created a jewel nestled between these narrow Dolomite valleys that is located a little further along the course of the upper Piave.
The lake is truly splendid, full of inlets, with an island more or less in the center and surrounded by steep pine forests. Careful and far-sighted management of fishing in this basin has meant that in just over a decade a true pike fishing paradise has been created, probably one of the best spots in Italy today. However, the abundance of fish must not be deceived; in fact, it is not so easy to be able to catch the largest specimens and as always happens in these artificial lakes, the activity of fish is often influenced by continuous changes in level. If you happen to go there, however, do not give up, wait for the thermal wind that rises regularly every day and maybe you too will run into a magical day like the one described in this video!
