Back in the Lake District for some mountain biking on the typical rough trails. At this time of year the undergrowth can be oppressive, as can be seen in places.
After a gap of 4 years the tough sections seemed to be harder than before. Parkhead road descent to Seathwaite had some big drops and the wriggly descent down Wallowbarrow Crag was not only steep but peppered with “baby heads”. Going too slow in one place towards the end of the trickiest sections I lost balance and planted into the undergrowth.
Nevertheless an enjoyable outing with Bob and Martin with some good chat stops in places including the pub at Seathwaite for an afternoon break. A fast off road descent then a faster tarmac descent to finish with.
