Timeless Amiga A1200, being remade & remake your own?

Following on from the news that Retrogames announced that they plan to remake, a looky-likey Amiga 1200 in the form of their A1200, I got a little nostalgic. I started looking around on eBay, on Amigakit and started seeing some new tech coming the way of the A1200. A replacement motherboard. A make it your self accelerator. Replacement fancy cases with black key caps. What's this new A1200NG board? I want one! I don't need one! I'm not sure I do want one! I reign in my enthusiasm and look at what makes it tick. Also, I start to look into this Pistorm I've seen here and there but not really read up on.

I dug out all my own Amiga Kit from the garage and decided to do a bit of a show and tell and look at how much you would need to spend to remake your very own, not quite but it looks like one, Amiga A1200 in 2025.

I salute the people that have kept right up with how far you can push the Amiga, the ones with a rats nest of mods in their A1200 cases that cost a fortune. The guys who's machines make the A4000 look like a ZX81. It takes dedication, money and time. I dip my toe back in here and there but with this video I just wanted to show my perspective of how this computer has entertained me and what I am seeing around with the present and future.
