The Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network proudly presents Season 2 of "Raising Spirits: Exploring the Cemeteries, Crossroads and Vanishing Places of Quebec" filmed in the Laurentians region of Quebec.
Episode 5: Shrewsbury
Laurentians’ writer Don Stewart speaks about a small rural village that was settled by Irish immigrants in the mid-19th century. A harsh climate and rocky soil were difficult obstacles to overcome for farming and the community slowly diminished over time. Now only vestiges of its existence remain along an unpaved road.
