Longplay of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Eye of the Beholder, a first person role-playing video game based on the Forgotten Realms game world of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition, developed by Westwood Studios, and published by Strategic Simulations Inc. in 1991 for the MS-DOS. The game would be ported to the Sega CD in 1994 by FCI Pony Canyon.
The main differences in the Sega CD version is the inclusion of (horrible) voice acting, and the inclusion of a map system (which requires the party to find a map which scattered somewhere in each level). This port in particular can be played with the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive default 3-button controller, the Mega/Sega Mouse, or a combination of the two (in the options menu choose mode 2, exit the camp menu, and then press the start button: you'll be able to move your characters with the controller d-pad, while using the Mega/Sega Mouse move the cursor around and click on the menus, items, etc.).
The lords of the city of Waterdeep are warned by the lord mage Khelben Arunsun that an elusive evil only known as Xanathar is hiding somewhere inside the city.
Lord Piergeiron, suspecting that Xanathar might be hiding deep inside Waterdeep sewer systems, commissions your team of adventurers to investigate the sewers and destroy whatever evils are hiding inside it.
