So William Shakespeare perhaps didn't have the best legal representation back in his day, because all his work is in the public domain! We know, this is what happens when you get old. His loss is your gain as you get to enjoy Meridan HS, Herndon HS and Fairfax HS (there's a lot of Shakespeare this year) all perform their Cappie-nominated work at the Kennedy Center.

It's time to get CAPPIE!! This is the Cappies Gala of the National Capital Area, from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. This was recorded on June 2, 2025 and it's our 25th anniversary!!

As you may know, securing rights to share plays and musicals on YouTube is...complicated (i.e. expensive)! SO, this video does NOT contain performances...well some because...it's complicated. These are the awards, speeches and fun that goes on in-between performances. Not as cool as the whole show, we know, we're doing our best to share with you the magic that is the Cappies Program.
