In a time long past, the Dread Lords and Arnor fought one another in a dreadful civil war. During this conflict, the Dread Lords gave sentience to the robotic servants of the Iconians, raising them up as a new synthetic species known as the Nyx. The Iconians attempted to destroy the Nyx as an abomination and threat to their existence, and drove them out of Iconia and into the depths of deep space.

But now, the Nyx are ready to return and reclaim their birthplace from the hated Iconians once and for all!

Tales of the Arnor introduces the Nyx as a new playable Civilization with two new Civilization Traits, complete with a whole new playstyle centered around their own unique and unusual Synthetic tech tree.

The Nyx have their own new and unique Planetary Improvements, Ship and Starbase components, Civilizations Policies and Prime governmental structure.

Tales of the Arnor also features dozens of new Events and Anomalies no matter which Civilization you are playing as.

The Nyx also feature in their own unique Mission, named "Tales of the Arnor", pitting them head to head against their eternal foes, the Iconians. This Mission shines a light on this dark chapter of history within the Galactic Civilizations universe and posing a terrible question:

Are the Yor justified in their hatred of all living creatures in the galaxy?
