I’m Always Chasing Rainbows (Carroll-McCarthy) by Perry Como and The Satisfyers, orchestra conducted by Russ Case
One of eight Perry Como hits included in this collection (1946 was a very good year for Mister C), the tune was featured in the Betty Grable film “The Dolly Sisters.” The familiar melody is from Chopin’s “Fantasie-Impromptu” with lyrics added in 1918 when “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows” had first been a major song hit. See also the version by Dick Haymes & Helen Forrest.
