in Bangkok, I had a strange encounter with a guy claiming to be a police officer. He approached me out of nowhere, started asking questions, and tried to act official — but something felt off. I wasn’t sure if he was legit, so I did the smart thing: I ignored him and walked away.

Scammers in Bangkok often pretend to be helpful or act like authorities. They’re friendly at first — but it’s a trap. Always trust your gut, stay alert, and remember: real police don’t randomly approach tourists for no reason.
