To get 4k (3840x2880) on Asphalt 4, I turned the resolution up to 15x. Tried to use 16x but it crashed the emulator.
The emulator I used was melonDS, and the computer I used was an M1 Mac

For those of you concerned about the legality of the emulation process: don't worry. I own a DSi and dumped the bios and firmware files onto my computer, and I have purchased the A4 DSiWare version before the DSi shop went down. This is the legal way to emulate games. And for those wanting the bios and firmware files, I am not going to provide them. Sorry.
