Building Our Next Heavy Tow Truck – Freightliner Argosy 8x4 with PM40 Crane | Red Tow Melbourne

Red Tow is expanding its heavy recovery and crane truck fleet!
In this video, we begin the build of our next 8x4 Freightliner Argosy Prime Mover, fitted with a PM 40-tonne-metre Crane. This project duplicates the design and capability of our current heavy underlift truck — combining towing, crane, and SuperTilt trailer operations into one multi-purpose unit.

The new Argosy has been temporarily mounted with the PM crane so it can travel to Sydney for crane fitment and certification. Once completed, this truck will operate as a crane truck, SuperTilt hauler, and detachable underlift tow truck (DTU) — giving Red Tow even greater flexibility across heavy recovery, salvage, and transport operations throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.
