Gionata Gatto (Venice, 1982) and Giovanni Innella (Turin, 1982) are two Italian designers who met while studying for their master at the Design Academy of Eindhoven. Gionata Gatto’s recent research is focused on the intelligence of plants and how their capabilities can be applied to human activities. Gionata frequently collaborates with scientific and technology research institutes and he is currently undertaking his doctorate at Loughborough University, in the UK. Giovanni Innella focuses on the concept of value and how this is intended in the design industry and in our society at large. Giovanni is currently an Assistant Professor at the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology in Tokyo. Both Gionata and Giovanni publish and exhibit their works and reflections in international academic and non-academic contexts.
