Prayagraj Kumbh: Layers of chaos, humanity and administrative negligence

The stampede caused by the huge crowd of devotees and the poor administration of the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela has raised many questions. On one hand, the local Muslim community set an example by opening their madrasas, mosques and even homes for the devotees during the accident, while on the other hand, some pictures are going viral on social media, in which the Uttar Pradesh Police is being accused of mixing mud in the prasad.

Fanaticism vs. compassion: Who stands where?

This humanity seen during the Kumbh is contrary to the statements where Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham had said that if Hindus go to the mosque, they will be chased away by hitting them with shoes. In such a situation, the question arises that towards which side is the fanaticism inclined? Don't the examples of humanity beyond religious divisions force us to think something new?

Telangana vs. Prayagraj: What action will be taken?

There were reports of actor Allu Arjun being sent to jail in the stampede incident in Telangana, but whether any concrete action will be taken against those responsible for the administrative negligence in the Kumbh Mela or not, remains a question.

Failure of management: Who is responsible?

Devotees allege that many routes were changed due to VIP culture, due to which common devotees had to face difficulties. This led to a situation of heavy traffic jam from Rewa to Prayagraj. The question arises that if the administration was not prepared, then why were big claims made about the arrangements for 100 crore devotees?

Questions that still demand answers:

1. Why did the administration put VIP culture above the problems of the common people?

2. Who is responsible for the stampede, and will there be any punishment?

3. Why is the contribution of people who set an example of religious harmony not appreciated?

4. Will there be any official investigation on the role of the police in the video going viral on social media?

Kumbh, which is considered to be the great festival of Sanatan culture and faith, has this time become the center of a mixture of chaos, mismanagement and religious harmony. Now it remains to be seen when and how the government and administration answer these questions.
