Federica Dell’Orto exposes how the systemic erasure of women’s rights, across countries and legal systems, amounts to a form of gender apartheid that the world still refuses to formally recognize. Drawing on her experience as an international law and human rights attorney, she reveals the legal blind spots that allow these abuses to persist and argues for a global framework that names, confronts, and ends this injustice. Her talk is a call to acknowledge the truth, and to demand accountability. Federica Dell'Orto is a New York-based attorney specializing in international law, human rights, and immigration. She has represented clients at all levels of asylum and removal proceedings. Holding a JD from the University of Milan and an LL.M. in Public International Law, she served as Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s International Law Section and now represents the Association at the UN. She frequently publishes on international and human rights law. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
