Organisation, Judges Matter has lambasted defence advocate in the Senzo Meyiwa Murder trial, Advocate Malesela Teffo, for what it calls damaging attacks on the presiding judge, Tshifhiwa Maumela.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Public Prosecutions, Adv. Teffo made several accusations against the presiding judge and other counsel and even alleged that a sangoma linked to the judge wanted him to collapse in court.
Judges Matter says it also views the remarks as an attack on the judiciary. Advocate Teffo previously withdrew from representing accused 1-4, citing unhappiness with the court but days ago in another letter, said he was back on the trial.
