Underlayers were randomly applied with various items and tools to create an overall pattern of shapes using cardboard cutout shapes stamped on with fast drying acrylic. No rhyme or reason at this point until I have surface covered. I then take a look in my sketchbook for a design that may work well with the busy patterning on the first layer. I've explored waves and fish shapes in a lot of my work, but this approach at this large size is new to me. Hope you enjoy my view.
