In this homily given on January 26th, 2025 (Word of God Sunday), Fr Mathias preaches on two reasons why we should value Scripture: It is believable and that it imparts hope. The Word of God in Scripture because it is God's Word to us gives us his perspective. Only when we have the perspective of the one who created us can we truly make sense of our lives. The Word also imparts hope, which is so needed when we suffer. Father goes through a few Scriptures that give us hope and ends his homily with a practical tip of receiving the Word that God speaks to us at Mass.
