Shashi Tharoor On Nupur Sharma's Comments Against Prophet Muhammad: 'BJP's Tactic To Attract Votes'

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan and Indonesia condemned former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's alleged Prophet remarks. It expressed denunciation and rejection of insults to the founder of Islam.

Shashi Tharoor said, "What we are seeing is that a specific political tactic of the ruling party, which is indeed to demonise the Muslim community in process of attracting votes, inevitably has had international repercussions".
