The newer releases of the game lack these video cut-scenes in this playlist, which is understandable owing to the fact that they are of very low quality by today's standards.
Like many games from that era (mid-late 90's), such as Diablo, videos were made from pre-rendered 3D models. Apart from that, the videos were usually interlaced, having half the vertical resolution (horizontal lines/rows) with the addition of empty alternating "black lines" due to hardware constraints of the time. Most videos of cut-scenes from this game online do not take this fact into account and therefore look extremely "wide."
The videos have been uploaded here have been adjusted to fit a 16:9 aspect ratio and not the incorrect ultra-wide 2.31:9 aspect ratio. I believe that a 4:3 aspect ratio would be even more apt, considering that during the 90's, 4:3 was the common aspect ratio for CRT PC monitors.
The videos may have been cropped in the original game, to give a pseudo-wide screen effect for those (4:3 aspect ratio) PC monitors, and if that's true that would make the videos all the more stretched, the wider the modern display is that is viewing them. I therefore settled for the 16:9 ratio as a compromise....
