Unedited Footage of a deep water MONSTER Lake Trout caught in Lake Superior

Lake Superior Lake Trout fishing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is something every angler should experience, and this trip was one for the books! Jigging deep water off the shores of Big Bay, Michigan with Makena, RC, and his mother, we found Lake Trout stacked between 130 and 180 feet of water. Using heavy jigs tipped with fresh sucker meat, the action was incredible.

The highlight of the day came when Makena hooked into an absolute monster Lake Trout — a giant that we believe will qualify for the Michigan Master Angler Award. Landing a fish of that size on Lake Superior is a memory we’ll never forget, and the fight was nothing short of amazing.
